Manabu Yamagami

Born in Osaka in 1959. He studied ceramics and printmaking in Kyoto, and built the Hotarugama kiln in Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture in 1989. In 2004 he moved to Ogimi Village in northern Okinawa. With a distinctive artistic world inspired by the Okinawan sea and a warm, humorous personality, he is loved by many fans.
